Registering interest in junior disability teams

Did you know that if your child has been diagnosed with a physical, learning or behavioural disability they could get involved in Pan Disability Football, which allows players to compete together and against each other in a highly supportive and inclusive environment? The Kent Disability Football League meets once a month at the Abbey School, Faversham to play a tournament-style competition, and players can do this alongside mainstream football.

At Canterbury Eagles we are very interested to hear from parents/carers who may be interested in this option for their child.

We are aware that there are a number of players registered with us who have disabilities, and we feel this could be a really positive opportunity for them. But we’d also love to hear from those who don’t currently play in mainstream football, perhaps because it’s not a good fit for their child’s needs.

If you, or someone you know might be interested, and have a child between the ages of 8 and 16 that could qualify, please fill in our expression of interest form. The league is open to both boys and girls. At this stage we cannot guarantee that we will run any teams, it entirely depends on the level of interest and whether there are potential volunteers who could help us with this.
