August: Manager’s thoughts

It’s been a frustrating start to the season, so many moments across all three games whether it be controlling it in small periods or playing some beautiful football, but then laps of concentration, switching off at the back and basically allowing teams to take the lead, control, or allowing them back in. 

So yeah there’s definitely a lot of positives to take from August. I touched on the beautiful football, certainly playing with confidence at times we just need to do it over larger periods and capitalise when we’re on top and stay switched on throughout the whole game. 

Also it’s been tough three games in a week has proved quite challenging, especially in terms of injuries with three getting injured in this period and another three already sidelined from either last season or early pre season, but none are too serious. Hopefully we can get them all back soon enough. 

So much to look forward to in September with two home games back to back, with the first one starting on the 12th vs AFC Gravesend, hopefully see as many of you Eagles fans at Langton and hopefully the staff and the boys can deliver three points.
