Saturday night sell out!

It was a full house at this year’s presentation evening as the whole club came together to wrap up another superb season of football and fun.

All 400 tickets were snapped up prior to the event which turned out to be another glorious evening of celebrating in the sun at St Stephen’s Primary School.

Every player received an award with some teammates receiving extra recognition from categories including ‘Goal of the Season’ and ‘Supporters’ Player of the Season’. An additional award came into play this year in the form of the ‘Safe Hands’ trophy presented to our fearless goalkeepers for their heroics between the sticks.

A special thank you must go to the representatives from McDonalds, sponsors of our Uxx, who came along on Saturday to deliver the awards to the team.

Top trophy

Eagles’ most prestigious award - The Founders Trophy - went to the unbelievably excellent Erin Spratt. Erin began her Eagles’ journey assisting with the U15/16s before becoming a valuable addition to the Wildcats U11s coaching squad. She’s resilient, reliable and always has a positive outlook; so thoroughly deserving of this illustrious accolade.

Well played all

With ice cream for the kids, amazing food and entertainment from the ever-impressive YO! Street Football, the evening culminated in the hotly anticipated raffle… and with prizes such as a 43” TV, Ray Ban sunglasses and a signed shirt from (famous) You Tuber Tommy Innit on the table, ticket holders were poised to pounce on the prizes!

We fund raise through the raffle, sell merchandise, and encourage people to visit the boot room, so that we can keep offering great value footballing opportunities in the most inclusive way possible - so thank you all for digging deep and buying a LOT of tickets! The raffle raised an incredible £850. Thank you also to everyone who donated such excellent prizes, which undoubtedly helped to make the tickets fly.

Pitch perfect

Everyone at Canterbury Eagles HQ would like to thank you for supporting this event. It really is a special evening and we know the players look forward to celebrating with their teammates and friends. It was fantastic to see so many of the kids joining together for a massive game of football on the back field once the ‘formal’ part was over.

Have a lovely summer and we’ll see you next season!
