Disability team host Tankerton

Our Kent Disability Football League team, Canterbury Eagles Hurricanes, were delighted to welcome Tankerton’s 16+ Pan-disability team to their regular Wednesday night training session for a friendly. It was Tankterton’s first-ever competitive match, and they gave the Eagles Hurricanes a real workout.

It was a very enjoyable session. Tankerton made the Eagles team work hard, while the Eagles showed that the commitment and hard work they put in at training has really started to work.
— Tony Newington, Canterbury Eagles Hurricanes manager

It was great to be able to support the progress of another local disability team and the players were all in good spirits at the end. Very well done to all involved.

We can see why Canterbury Eagles are so high up in the Kent Disability Football League. And they were so gracious and encouraging to our guys - a real credit to their football club. We are looking forward to establishing a closer relationship and arranging more friendlies in the future.
— Vanessa Oakes, Tankerton Pan-disability manager
